Community Champions

SafePet Ontario believes in collaboration, education, and community-building. Our "Community Champions" are organizations that aim to spread the word about our pet-safekeeping program, and the "link" among animal abuse, child abuse, family violence, and elder abuse.

Community Champions help keep survivors and their pets safe.

We provide training to veterinary clinics, police departments, human shelters, community groups, and other organizations throughout the province. Education is a huge part of our mission and of our goal to end gender-based violence, elder abuse, and animal abuse.

Past training engagements include:

  • Ontario Police College - "Domestic Violence Investigations" course

  • Toronto Police Service - "Human Trafficking" course

  • My Sister's Place (Alliston)

  • Victim Services Durham Region

  • BOOST Child Advocacy Centre

If you would like to request a training and / or promotional materials from us, please get in touch!
