We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are officially a Registered Charity :) This means that we are now eligible for a wider range of grant opportunities, and we are able to provide tax receipts for donations to SafePet Ontario.
Our purpose has always remained the same. First, to provide education on the "link" among four types of family violence: animal abuse, elder abuse, child abuse, and intimate partner violence (including human trafficking). Second, to provide pet-safekeeping to survivors of family violence and human trafficking.
As a charity, we will be in an even stronger position to assist and educate throughout the province.
